Sixth Form Lecture
Nov 29, 2023
Ishaan Korotane presented the most recent Sixth Form Lecture. His talk on Cybersecurity generated a lot of interest amongst the pupils. One of his most recent tasks was recovering a firm whose network had been compromised by an attack through a sole heating thermostat connected to the network.Ishaan left OSH in 2017 and decided to go down the apprenticeship route at Cisco. Having developed and progressed well at the firm, as of a few weeks ago, his current role is a Technical Solutions Architect within the Security Team. The OFA is very grateful to Ishaan for taking time out of work to do this. These career presentations are becoming a regular feature linking the OFA with the current pupils. We would welcome hearing from other Old Foleyans' who are willing to talk about their career. It involves a 10 minute talk to the senior pupils first thing in the day. This is followed by group discussion with pupils interested in following that particular type of career.
