Adrian Hill (Dudley 1954-59) has generously donated to Paul Kilbride and the school, three original rare books by Richard Baxter, from the Seventeeth century. Paul Kilbride receiving them indicated that the first Headmaster of the school was very likely to have copies of these books, to assist in formulating rules for school life.Richard Baxter (1615–1691) was a highly prolific 17th-century English Puritan minister, theologian, and author. Although he was an ordained Anglican priest, he is best known as perhaps the first Non-conformist, whose writings focused on practical theology, pastoral ministry, heaven, and the Christian life. He preached to Thomas Foley about the right use of wealth, which led in part to the founding of the school.
